Manhole and gully applications
Fils 21 grating manholes and gullies can be used for various applications involving the flow of liquids into the area below, or to allow aeration.
- In particular, manhole covers are characterised by their square shape and are suitable for covering manholes or other channels.
- The gullies are rectangular in shape and are suitable for covering water collection channels or for covering ventilation shafts of limited width.
They rest on their own frame and can therefore be opened if necessary.
The advantages of expanded metal
All expanded metal manholes and drains have pedestrian capacity:
- Load capacity distributed: 408 Kg/m2
- Load capacity concentrated: 408 Kg
When installed, they have several advantages: they are heel-safe, slip- and ice-proof. They allow dirt, debris, water and snow to pass through (preventing the formation of ice).
They are completed with their own side frame.
All elements are made of hot-dip galvanised carbon steel to ensure durability.
