Palazzo degli Affari

The Palazzo degli Affari, which sits in the heart of Florence (Italy) just a few minutes away from the Duomo and close to the main railway station, has become “A SPACE FOR NEW IDEAS”.  The ideal location for organising international events: conferences, business conventions and cultural events. Exposed expanded metal mesh was chosen for the large false ceilings enclosing all the technical building systems. In fact, one of the primary objectives of the whole project was to update this technology. The choice of open metal mesh makes everything feel light and amplifies the feel of space.

15 rooms with flexible and modular spaces, spread over 6 floors, can accommodate up to 1,500 guests. This intervention has optimised and reclaimed the space available, creating new, flowing areas to satisfy current and future needs. The Palazzo degli Affari was designed in 1973 by Arch. Pierluigi Spadolini. The aesthetic-functional restyling, which started in 2022, is dedicated to his memory.
