EXPANDED METAL FOR YOUR SECURITY

Regulatory assistance

Fils finished products in expanded metal mesh are certified in full compliance with the regulations in the various fields of application. Specialised publications are available that report the requirements of the standards and guide the correct choice of product.

Steps and walkways with certified reach

NTC 2008 Standards

The Technical Standards for Construction (NTC 2008), approved by the Italian Ministry for Infrastructure establish the working load capacity expected of structures for each type of load and application. In Table 3.1.II (Values of overloads for the different categories of use of buildings) shows the working loads for walkways.

Expanded grating non-slip walkway standards

DIN 51130 - Slip resistance

German norm DIN 51130 (determination of the anti-slip coefficient) tests floors at 5 different angles to assess their slip resistance; this is graded according to the angle at which a foot starts to slip on the material in question. A material is deemed to have a low coefficient of friction when feet start slipping when the test ramp is set at a small angle. Fils grating guarantees excellent non-slip results.

SICURA NET expanded metal mesh for gate protection

UNI EN 12453

UNI EN 112453 concerns the protection of moving gates and doors. "Safe" mesh responds to the resulting need to guarantee the safety of automated gates and doors. The aperture of this mesh meets the highest requirements of this norm.
